Powerchip to Add Two More 12" Chip Plants in Central Taiwan

Powerchip Semiconductor plans to build two 12" chip plants in Central Taiwan Science Park with a NT$200 billion investment, amounting to four in total. Once the production begins early next year, their monthly production capacity in 1H 2006 will then increase to 95,000 wafers.
